Miami Coral Park Senior High School Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC), “Ram Ranger” battalion was established in 1984.  We were the second Army JROTC program to be established in Miami/Dade County Public School System.  Since our establishment, we have earned the top designation as "Honor Unit with Distinction" 32 out of 33 years.

Accomplishments:

In 1997 and 1998 our Female Color Guard was the reigning National Champions in the Alternative Arms Division, Masters Level.  The female Ram Ranger Drill Teams were runners-up at the Nationals in 1993, 1995, 1997, and 2001.  In addition, in 1999 the female Ram Ranger Drill Team won the overall National Championship Trophy in the Alternative Arms Division and in 2013 the female Color Guard placed 3rd. In 2014 female armed duals took home 1st place in the National Drill Championship. Thus far, the Ram Ranger Battalion had six cadets nominated and appointed into the West Point Military Academy.  Out of the six appointments, four were commissioned Second Lieutenants in the world's finest Army.
