Our purpose: To provide
secondary school students opportunities for total development. This
includes instruction in life management skills, personal fitness, and other
physical readiness activities. The course promotes good citizenship and patriotism
through character building activities that will benefit the cadets, the
community, and our nation. The JROTC learning experience is
intended to be useful to students in any future career; military or
civilian. This course provides ongoing instruction in leadership theory,
drill and ceremonies, hygiene and first aid, introduction to maps and map
reading, and techniques of oral communication. There are no military
obligations associated with enrolling in the JROTC.
